Course Description

Language is the art of communication, and English is the canvas on which we paint our ideas, emotions, and stories.

This course is designed to foster a lifelong passion for reading, writing, and effective communication in English. It is suitable for learners who have English as their first language and can be adapted to different cultural contexts. Additionally, we offer a specialized English as a Second Language curriculum for learners who speak a language other than English at home.

Course Objectives

The objectives of this course are to develop essential skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Throughout engaging lessons and activities, students will:

  • Gain confidence in effectively applying all four language skills in everyday situations.
  • Cultivate a love for reading by engaging with diverse texts from different times and cultures.

Course Outline

Our curriculum adopts an inclusive teaching approach that addresses all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students will engage in various activities that encourage experiential learning, reflection, and continuous improvement. The curriculum encompasses various genres of fiction, poetry, play scripts, and non-fiction texts, providing authentic contexts for skill development.
