Starscollege’s qualifications are designed for learners aged 18 and above. The entry profile may include a Level 3 Diploma, GCE Advanced level in 2 subjects, or relevant management experience for mature learners over 21. Non-native English speakers must provide evidence of English language competency.
The Starscollege Level 5 Extended Diploma qualifications equate to Higher National Diplomas (HND) and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme, representing practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competences.
The Starscollege Level 5 Extended Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management consists of 12 mandatory units, 240 credits, and 2400 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT). The recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) is a minimum of 1200 hours.
To achieve the Starscollege Level 5 Extended Diploma, learners must achieve 240 credits. This includes 120 credits at Level 4 (6 units) and 120 credits at Level 5 (6 units). The Level 4 units include Academic Writing and Research Skills, Logistics and the Business Environment, Operations and Logistics Management, Finance and Accounting, Communication in Business, and Leading and Managing Teams. The Level 5 units include Principles and Concepts of Strategy, Procurement and Inventory Management, Contract and Financial Management, Global Context of Supply Chains, Principles and Concepts of Supply Chain Management, and Contemporary Issues in Supply Chain Management.
The qualification is designed for two academic years of full-time study but can accommodate part-time and distance learning. It is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, and online by approved centres only.
All units are internally assessed and externally verified by Starscollege. To pass a unit, learners must fulfill all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
Success in our English-taught qualifications requires learners to possess a sufficient level of English language skills. Applicants must demonstrate English language comprehension equivalent to IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 5.5 to be eligible for enrollment in our programs.
Successful completion of the Starscollege Level 5 Extended Diploma provides learners with opportunities to access a wide range of academic progressions, including the Starscollege Level 6 Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Learners are eligible to gain direct entry into Year 3 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
